Marketing Sweet Spot: Quality Articles and Popular Blogs

February 8th, 2012

Short while ago google had changed their ranking algorithm,   in the name of providing more relevant search results for it’s users, according to their official blog, this change impacts 11.8% organic search results, in plain English, google thinks about 12% of it’s search results are really bad and need to manipulated. The update was initiated more than a year ago, maybe that’s why some of my ranks dropped out of first 10 pages, the good thing is that those keywords promoted by content rich links are not affected, a few of these keywords ranked better than ever, it’s safe to say that old way of link building is doomed.

Now what on earth is plain link building and how do people do it? There are a lot of SEO company out there are doing this, they will get links from any websites which accept adding links, these websites will only be updated when new links are being added, almost all of them are garbage, we call these sites link spamming sites. The latest google update will definitely downgrade most if not all of these sites, the links on those spamming sites won’t work anymore.

Let’s check out a few examples. It was quite some time ago, I started promote the keyword, Transport Chains, of course with old way of link building, a lot of sites I used had too many links, and the worst thing is that those sites are linking sites only and had no content, not even crap content. In the beginning, the ranking of the keyword in question rise pretty fast, finally the rank improved a lot,   the honeymoon lasted until google changed it’s mind. Now let’s look at another keyword, chain pullers, we promoted this keyword with articles and blog posts, not too many plain links have been built, now we have really good ranking for this keyword. Now contextual links win the battle, then what? Actually this is all about content, so if you create great content, your rank will improve over time, since search engines are another kind of readers. It’s never too late to build good blogs for business purpose, take a look at this blog, best smartphones 2011 , in the beginning I just post to it casually, lately I added nice stuff left and right, the result? I got nice ranking for a few realy nice keywords now. As far as SEO concerned, article marketing with great content is the way to go. If you can build a group of your own blogs, for instance Sash Chains, you will have the power to push any sites up in search engines.

At the end of day all you need to do is to create attractive content, get people to enjoy and share your stuff, in the mean time advertise your business with your content, as long as you don’t stop doing this, you will win over customers and search engines. Whatever you do, you will need persistence and patience, nothing will automatically improve overnight, be it your business or search rankings, keep writing, publishing, sharing and creating, you will see the day of success. When publisinh articles, I prefer ezine, new article will be indexed within an hour if not minutes, popular blogs will get your post indexed as soon as you post it, here I am going to show you an article in article directory or on a blog, take Ratchet Chain Binder as an example, good writing, interesting content, indexed and cached, all these points make it perfect for SEO.

By the way, we have hot social media now, no one can afford to not using them. One thing you can do for your blogs is to install twitter tools, sign up for a twitter account and create a new application, set up API credentials in your twitter tools option, then every new post on your blog will show up in your twitter page, it’s easy and really useful, it’s a big loss if you don’t use this tool.

Blog and Article Marketing for Building Informational Links

December 22nd, 2011

Rank algorithm update from google weeded out a lot of good or bad websites,   in the name of providing more relevant search results for it’s users, on official google blog it is estimated 11.8% search results will be affected by this update, in plain English, almost 12% of google search results are useless or of low quality. The update was initiated more than a year ago, maybe that’s why some of my ranks dropped out of first 10 pages, but almost all the ranks promoted by articles and blog posts were not affected, a few of these keywords ranked better than ever, it’s almost a sure thing that plain link building loses all it’s attraction, at least in the eye of google.

So what exactly is linking campaign the old way? a lot of marketing companies did and are doing the plain link building, they will get links from any websites which accept adding links, the content on those sites will never be updated, and most of them are useless, we call these sites link spamming sites. New google algorithm most likely will punish these link spammers,  any links on them will be affected too.

Examples will be great for explanation. In the very beginning, I didn’t know better, I needed to rank the keyword, Tie Down, it was old way of link building all the way, a lot of sites I used had too many links, worst yet, those sites had no content at all. I would give credit where credit is due, this linking strategy worked, eventually the keyword could be found on first page,   the honeymoon lasted until google changed it’s mind. Something opposite happened to this keyword, chain puller , we put the link in relevant context, not too many plain links have been built, the rank for this keyword is making me real happy. Old and outdated linking campaign lost to content linking, what’s next? In fact the only thing matters here is content, as long as you dole out high quality content, your rank will improve over time, since search engines are another kind of readers. How do you do it? Writing articles and building blogs, for instance let’s examine this one, sherri hill dresses , I build it as a hobby and kept adding good or mediocre content, it’s no way this site will rank, right?, actually, no, in actuality my site is ranking high for some nice search phrases. As we can see, quality blog marketing is much better than plain link building. Now imagine you have your own blog network, something like Transport Chains, then it will be easier to do article marketing.

Bottom line is that you should create great content, publish and share with people, promote your business with the content, this strategy will prevail in short or long term. The virtues, persistence and patience, are essential for your success, long term strategy is required to improve anything of significance, it doesn’t matter you’re doing SEO or advertising your business, now all we have to do is to share our love for creating and sharing nice content and not to worry about the ranking all the time. Ezine is one of the best article directories out there, a new article will be indexed and cached in less than an hour, of course your posts on some blogs will be indexed real fast as well, here I am going to show you an article in article directory or on a blog, like this Load Binder , quality content, nice presentation, indexed by google, this article serves it’s purpose well.

Last but not least, the social media is the must have channel for your marketing effort. The Twitter tools is a wordpress plugin, you can install it, then go ahead register a new twitter account and app, link your blog to twitter, then make sure every new post will post a new tweet, it’s simple and elegant, no one should miss this tool out.

Heavy duty tie down chains and load binders

May 20th, 2010

Truck Chains and ratchet binder are heavy duty truck tie downs, both chains and binders are made of carbon steel, their working load limits are higher than their straps counterparts , let’s look at 5/16” transport chain(WLL 4700lbs) vs. WLL 3333lbs 2” ratchet tie down straps ,  3/8” WLL 6600lbs binder chain vs. 4” WLL 5400lbs tie down straps , the grade 70 chains are stronger than ratchet tie down straps and the grade 70 load binders are stronger than grade 70 chains, 3/8”-1/2” chain binder has WLL of 9200lbs, which is much stronger than 6600lbs of 3/8” chains . Another reason chains and binders are considered heavy duty, is their design factor is 4:1 while webbing tie downs have 3:1 typical design factor, see “Design Factor” for reference .

The National Association of Chain Manufacturer recommends that the steel which can be used to make grade 70 binder chains must have less than 0.35% Carbon, 0.040% Phosphorous and 0.050% Sulfur. When the material meets NACM recommendation, the manufacturing process are under strict quality control, and the final products meet or exceed  DOT requirements, you can put the chains and binders on your 18 wheeler and haul away .

To tie down big rigs such as forklift, bulldozer is what we use grade 70 transport chains and binders for, tie down straps have no chance against these tough guys, the only choice is binder chains and binders , the most popular chain size for these  kind of load are 3/8”, for some light equipment which is still too heavy and hard for straps 5/16” will be ideal chain size. 1/2” and up are mostly for really heavy stuff, for example, military applications, say to tie down battle tanks, you will definitely need 1/2” even 5/8” grade 70 chains to tie those bad boys down.

Grade 70 chains can be used for any purpose except overhead lifting. You can use these chains for tearing down trees, tow heavy objects, we some times use these chains to tow our mobile loading dock. We’ve seen forestry service companies use a lot of these chains in their work as well. As we can see now that these heavy duty chains and binders are must haves for anyone who is hauling heavy loads.
